Calvino’s 100 years in comics. Il barone rampante - adaptation by Sara Colaone

From the Baron Rampante to L'amore delle tre melagrane, from fairy tales to the Viscount halved: between comic novels and illustrated books, Mondadori celebrates the figure of Italo Calvino on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his birth through the art of drawing.  
Sara Colaone created a fascinating and dynamic comic book adaptation of one of Calvino’s most beloved novels, Il Barone Rampante. Cosimo Piovasco di Rondò, the eldest son of a noble family, at the age of twelve gives rise to a rather unusual protest - he just does not want to eat snails! -, and decides to climb a tree and not to go down any more! For the rest of his life he will stand by his decision! The author Sara Colaone, in dialogue with Gianni Maritati, RAI Journalist, will tell of his graphic adventure through the words of Calvino.
