Comics and AI. Ingenuity and algorithms
How creativity is combined with the new applications of automatic generation of images, illustrations and texts that, while making artistic activity more accessible to all, on the other hand they risk devaluing the work of authors and artists in the absence of clear regulations. The panel therefore focuses on how artificial intelligence algorithms are used by the authors, what are the main applications accessible to the general public and how the perception of creativity changes in the face of cultural products generated by a machine and not by a human being.
We will discuss this with Francesco Archidiacono, representative of Mefu and co-founder of EGAIR - a network of creative artists, associations and European companies working for the protection of the data of European citizens from companies offering AI services"; Gianluca Garofalo, representing the Authors of Images Association; Eugenio Nerio Nemmi, Postdoc at the University of Rome La Sapienza, in the topics Machine Learning, Deep Learning. Riccardo Corbò moderated the meeting.
